Insane
The band Insane was founded by Gábor Érsek and Oszkár Knapp in 1999. Since then it has gone through constant development and many changes. Till 2005 the band released 3 studio albums and some video clips were played by local music televisions. Till 2007 the band had already been to 15 several foreign countries and they had opened the stage for several headliner bands (Suicide Silence, Soulfly, Ill Nino, Pro-Pain,Texas In July, Skindred, Napalm Death and many more) . In 2008 the guys recorded their 4th studio album which was followed by a Europe tour and in September a video clip was released for the song Hocus Pocus with which a 2nd place was achieved at MTV Rockchart in 4 weeks, and a 6th place at the yearly chart. In 2009 the 10 year old band held a birthday tour and the most important thing happened to them. Insane won the Fonogram award – with their album called Our Island – Our Empire in the category of „best rock/metal album of the year”. This is the highest appreciation in Hungarian music industry. The most important action in 2010 was the endorsement contract what the band had signed at first hand amongst eastern European bands with Monster Energy Inc. At that time the band had played in 23 countries already. In December an acoustic EP was released. In 2011 new countries had been occupied by the band like Turkey and Bosnia. In May the group went on a nightliner tour with Pro-Pain, in September the guys toured the Baltic region and throughout the year Insane had a successful tour in Hungary too. A song from the new album was released and a video clip was presented at BLANK TV. In 2012 some member changes had happened. The band decided to part its ways with the singer Bálint Molnár, and the bass player/vocalist, Bertalan Tóth became the singer. Csaba Zahorán known from Blind Myself arrived as a new bass player and vocalist. At this time they started to write the new songs for the 5th album and the recordings had started at Spring, 2012. The new album was released in June, 2012. It is one of the best album of the band so far and it got really good reviews from all over the world. After the release they had many tours and shows in Hungary and in Europe as well.
