Nonverse

Nonverse

Budapest based punk rock trio, Nonverse, greet the Spring with a return to A38 on March 26 in support of The Subways.

2011 was a great year for Nonverse. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the name Nonverse, the young hard working punk rock trio have been catching the attention of concert goers in the last couple of years whilst touring with The Grenma, as well as being invited to support Hungarian punk rock legends Alvin és a mókusok on their 18th anniversary mini-tour, in addition to their own headline shows across the country.

They found time to record 3 EP’s in 2011, each one showing development in their song writing abilities.  The latest EP, entitled ‘Zombik vagyunk’ (‘We are all zombies’) is available for free download from the band’s website: http://nonverse.hu or from their facebook page www.facebook.com/nonverse.

Singer/songwriter, Atis believes the EP to be their best work yet in the studio and features two new songs.  The title track is similar to what fans would expect from the band, but ‘Ultolsó dal’ (‘The last song’) is a departure from the up tempo, crunching guitar chords, and driving bass lines, replaced with mellow acoustic guitar, gentle piano, haunting strings, choral vocals and heart wrenching lyrics.  Girls...listen with a box of tissues to hand.  Boys...maybe the same.

Atis, Viki (bass) and Dani (drums) don’t intend to sit back and rest after the release of the EP.  They are already making plans for taking their songs back on to the road and into the clubs across Hungary in 2012.  ‘Playing live is the most important thing for us.’ said Viki. ‘It is great to meet with fans, new and old, and an amazing feeling when you see them singing along to all the songs.’
