Ádám Zoltán Pictures 2018 - exhibition

Canceled
Ádám Zoltán has touched the topics of faith, Christianity, Bible, moral criticism and beyond in many different layers and ways in his artistic opuses. This topic has been in the focus of his interest for a long time so on his upcoming exhibition he will present his latest works in which he reaches back and expresses sensible textures, colours, motifs and gives them a very special rebirth.
We know prayer texts, we know quotes from holy books, we all know what it is like to read a biblical word about something. In this case the distance between the verb and the whereabouts of the distance is usually increased.
If we had to declare Zoltán Ádám's art in one sentence, we could say that his works are about the freedom of the human soul and the dignity of living with this freedom. Zoltán Ádám's art is provocative art, because he has the courage to live with the means by which he is abused.
He started painting his current picture series a year ago. His working method combines a variety of Bible translations, then copies a fragment of the selected edition onto the canvas and records the projected image with a distortion or a small brush. The oil-painted, acrylic paints are mixed with the images of Ádám's own Bible interpretations. These texts are placed on the canvas, as the Word - as it is read in the Gospel of the only Greek language, read in John - became flesh. They get a body, colors, sizes and a distinctive odor through paint.
Adam runs in dangerous waters when he makes his characters protagonist. Inevitably, we remember the farewell labels, which were promised money for money by the promise of redemption. However, these pictures are others. They do not seem to be forgiven. These paintings are about freedom of choice, freedom of living, lack of fear as a provocative gesture, and the work that goes along with it.
