New Year's Eve with the Budapest Bar

on the A38

December 31, 2021 19: 00-21: 00

What was this year like and what will 2022 be like? Let's take a look at the glass ball together on New Year's Eve on the A38! Whatever we see, one thing is for sure: that night will be good, liberating and fun. With good songs, great musicians and great performers!

Last year, after our online concert, we drove home on the deserted streets: after online hugs, online dancing, online greetings, online toasting and an online party. We are confident that this is not normal and that not online, sitting on a couch with a laptop in our hands, we will live the rest of our lives - we will live - for real!

Get up with the band, listen to better songs, tune in to the night with amazing musicians and great songs! If you had a great year, celebrate with us! If it wasn’t so good, wait for your new approach with us! If you can, don’t sit at home - we did this task last year! At the concert you can celebrate with Dóri Behumi, Bori Rutkai, Frank, András Keleti, Tibor Kiss, Misi Mező and a great band led by Róbert Farkas.

You're hesitant, you can't decide whether to buy a ticket. We help!

"I dare not come to the concert because of the epidemic…"

We understand the epidemiological data is alarming and everyone is responsible for their own health. We are sorry if you decide to do so, but we will make the concert as safe as possible by limiting the number of people. To enter, we ask for a security card and recommend wearing a mask, and please do not come if you have any symptoms (give someone your ticket, you will be grateful for it, and you will get your kindness back next year!). During that time, you must have gotten a cool mask, pick it up! True, it blurs the lipstick, but so many sacrifices fit into a super evening!

"The concert only lasts until 9, then what do we do?" The concert is guaranteed to spice up so much that you will have fun anywhere afterwards! You can go to a party, walk in the city or even go home, watch a good movie or wait for the new year with your family and friends. Believe me, this concert will recharge for days and set the tone for the new year!

“Oh, darlings, I’m old enough to stand by for two hours! "

May. But what two hours! And you don't have to linger anyway - you can move! At least you can warm up for New Year’s resolutions! You will be a year younger next year!

"The ticket is very expensive!" Sure, we know tickets aren’t too cheap, but how crappy the party is on New Year’s Eve, and how expensive they are! Anyway, approx. You’ve got the ticket for the price of 3 cocktails, you’re drinking at least a little less this year and you’re not starting the New Year with a hangover! You can’t travel much, at least you spend that money on the musicians you’ve enjoyed listening to all year. The last year and a half has not really been easy for them!

"I don't even know what a Budapest Bar is!" You do not know? Have you lived in Bödön lately? Well now is the time to get to know us, we guarantee you will love it! Even our most frantic friends love it - even Géza, who is only willing to listen to Wagner all year round!

Here are the dry facts in case you need to explain even after that:

The Budapest Bar was founded and run by Róbert Farkas. Its original intention was to give new impetus to the genre of gypsy music in the café, keeping alive and renewing old traditions. Thanks to the band, long-forgotten melodies have once again become part of the public consciousness and the culture of young people. Since the band’s inception, it has become a favorite of several generations - many old songs have been dusted off, forgotten ones have been revived, or very well-known ones have been dressed in new robes. Ages, cultures and generations meet in the production - perhaps that’s why young and old alike love it. Well-known and popular songs are reinterpreted on the basis of gypsy music, combined with elements of jazz, pop, rock, klezmer and many musical genres - thus creating the foundations of a new musical trend, the gypsy lounge.

The Budapest Bar Orchestra is: Róbert Farkas (violin, guitar), Sándor Ürmös (cimbalom), Károly Ökrös (accordion, piano), Richárd Farkas (bass), Bence Kisvári (drums)

Singers: Dóri Behumi, Bori Rutkai, András Keleti, Frenk, Tibor Kiss, Misi Mező

Date: Thursday, December 31, 2021, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Please arrive earlier, because we will start the concert exactly!

You can bring children to the concert with parental supervision, but this is not a children's concert and we do not recommend it for small children! Unfortunately, we can't give a child discount either.

Epidemiological restrictions: according to the current rules, the concert can only be entered with a security and identity card. We limit the number of people to a maximum of 500. Wearing the mask indoors is highly recommended! Please, if you feel sick, give your ticket to someone else, they will be happy!

Parking

There is a limited number of parking spaces around the A38, but you do it wisely if you are not coming by car. The boat is a 5-minute walk from the 4-6 tram stop (Petőfi bridge in Buda).

Buy tickets on the A38 website www.a38.hu or in person at the A38 Boat box office. Information: www.a38.hu.
