Calyces

Calyces is a four-member progressive-Heavy band that combines the programs in the early 2000s with the finest elements of the classic progressive rock of the '70s. The band's repertoire is well fit together with deep-tuned riffs and rolling polyhythmia, sometimes colored with atmospheric parts, melody and energy, placing great emphasis on the groove. Calyces is well known on the Greek live music scene as they performed as a pre-band of renowned teams such as Tesseract, Cult of Luna, and tour with Need. Their "Impulse to Soar" debut album was masted by Grammy Award-winning sound engineer Alan Douches (Mastodon, Klertak, The Dillinger Escape plan, etc.), featuring a saxophone solo in "Unfair Labour".
