Cataflamingo
Cataflamingo is an alternative rock quartet in Budapest. Our style, with which several talent researchers (hatching, lemming, platform) won the recognition of the professional jury-evokes the rock music of the '90s and 2000s in a modern way. After two EPs, we released our first album in 2023 entitled The door to the door, which was included in several Spotify playlists and our most listened song so far, with Telex after the best rock album of the year. By the summer of 2023 we have also reached the stage of a number of major festivals (Colorado, Valley of Arts, Happy Fisherman Camp, Beach Festival) and Budapest Park. Also, our autumn was no less dense: we showed our first big headliner party in the stork and played on the stage of the Great Half of the Aquarium in front of Platon Karataev.
Bombataz (BE)
Brussels-based Bombataz's style can never be set in stone. The band's versatile members combine elements of many musical genres for their tracks, such as jazz, funk and synthhop... to end up with a cocktail that is always equal parts danceable and groovy. Bombataz was formed when conservatory students Vitja Pauwels (guitar, vocals), Hendrik Lasure (keyboards), Ruben De Maesschalck (bass) and Casper Van De Velde (drums) realized that their shared love of music was not limited to jazz , but covers a wide range of genres. On their debut album, "Olympics of Love", released in 2020, the band became a full-fledged pop band. The album was inspired by bands such as Fleetwood Mac, Prince, Ambitious Lovers and Connan Mockasin. On their second album - "Baby Dry My Tears" - the post-jazz pop quartet from Brussels also rejects eclectic indie rock. They convey the spirit of Animal Collective, MGMT and "groovy funkiness".
