We want to invite all techno fans to a really special evening! The venue is the A38, a more than 50-year-old stationary boat on the Danube, which for 20 years has been one of the main bastions of the Budapest underground, and it is no coincidence that it won the title of "the best club in the world" in the Lonely Planet poll. When you step on board, you will immediately understand why!
If you like techno and want something really special and authentic, this is the place for you! The headliner of the evening is none other than one of the emblematic figures of Hungarian techno. DJ Budai has a career of more than three decades behind him, his name is known even by those who are far from this style. He is the alpha and omega of the style, generations grew up on his mix CDs (and even cassettes) released at the end of the 90s. If you ask a 30+ person in Budapest today, they will most likely say that they fell in love with the style through DJ Budai's legendary techno mix tapes (e.g. Techno-House
Classics or DJ Mix Vol2) and became eternally obsessed with the four quarters . The music on these mixes has forever burned into the ears and hearts of the Hungarian audience. Total catharsis erupts when these songs are played at any party.
At the same time, DJ Budai is one of the few domestic veteran DJs who is capable of constant renewal, both in terms of technique and selection. What is eternal is its characteristic, ass-shaking funky line! How interesting that groovy techno is experiencing a renaissance. Therefore, there is no shortage of supplies. One of DJ Budai's main interests is talent nurturing, so he is supported by his two mentees, Demmyboy and Patrik Gora. The former has already played on A38 several times in the company of DJ Budai, and the latter is a resident of the Sunder Club in Szeged, Hungary's only truly underground country techno club.
On May 25, a meeting of generations will take place at the dj desk, where one of the favorite party series of the Budapest expat community, Kindergarten, will host the DJs. The warm-up is provided by Aesztetik, who came from the world of illelparties, but lately he is also pushing a more funky line, he is achieving more and more success abroad, his own music is his current favourites, e.g. Played by Beau Didier or Anathea. He is followed by Ben Dover, the host of Kindergarten, who alone is the founder of primate.hu, the only independent Hungarian electronic music news portal. He is followed at the counter by Milumination, the owner of the already mentioned Sunder Club, the main driving force of Szeged's underground electronic music life.
From the description, you can probably feel that this is going to be a very special evening! Full of actors who carry techno in their hearts, they wake up and go to bed with it every day. You will not experience such faces and such an atmosphere anywhere else in the world. If you want a truly authentic program that will be the best not only for your ears, but also for your soul, then come here! A constant smile is guaranteed. Then tell me at home what the thoroughly domestic techno is like in Hungary!
The event will take place at the panoramic Roof terrace!
