Estendøn and Gorlo Volka arrive at the Exhibition Hall in highland colors. The dynamic songs of the seven-member Estendon (pronounced: in the evening) are mostly accompanied by lyrical lyrics, sometimes incorporating classical music motifs alongside rock, funk, jazz and world music elements. The Farnad-based band first performed on the ship’s stage in 2017, returning performers for the 1K Festival.

Gorlo Volka, who feature lyrical power-pop, focuses on Meli Farkas, who writes songs and sings, and his name is also hidden in the name of the band, which means wolves. The formation has been playing together since 2019, and since then they have become unavoidable elements of the upland music palette.

The 1st Carpathian Basin Festival will continue to celebrate the diversity of Hungarian culture on board the A38 Ship in 2021 as well. From 2 to 9 June, a number of cross-border artistic collaborations await the public on the occasion of National Unity Day. The 1K Festival is held in front of a planted audience with a limited number of people in accordance with the current epidemiological rules. The cultural event can be visited by presenting a protection card.
