Milkshake Man shakes up the A38 Ship - Go-Jo for the first time in Hungary
Initially known for his upbeat songs and covers, Go-Jo has amassed nearly one and a half million followers on social media and in 2023 he was the 9th most streamed Australian artist in the world. His hit song Mrs. Hollywood has garnered one billion views and he will represent his country at Eurovision with his crazy song Milkshake Man. A truly versatile phenomenon, Go-Jo will be heard for the first time in Budapest on 19 September at the A38 Ship.
The charismatic musician can play guitar and unicycle at the same time and that's just one of his many talents. Go-Jo is the solo project of Marty Zambotto, an up-and-coming Australian pop star who grew up in a remote Australian village where there was often no running water or electricity. Hence his love of nature, his creativity and his DIY approach: as a child he danced and sang to his parents' records, and at the age of 13 his mother, also a musician, gave him his first guitar. Initially writing songs for others, he found his own voice and started a solo project.
What sets Go-Jo apart from other artists is his incredible ability to write, produce, record, mix, master and perform as an artist, while having an almost innate knack for connecting with fans, entertaining and communicating with audiences both online and offline. Rather than the tried and tested ways, he likes to think outside the box, constantly looking for new ways to reach people with his catchy songs and engaging personality.
This is evident on his social media platforms, with over 1.4 million followers on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. In 2023, Go-Jo was the 9th most streamed Australian artist in the world. His hit song Mrs Hollywood has been streamed 60 million times and was watched by over 1 billion accross the platforms, while his latest big hit was Milkshake Man, which will represent Australia at Eurovision.
Go-Jo has toured Australia, Europe, the United States and South East Asia, and this autumn he will finally perform in Hungary on 19 September at the A38 Ship.
