Jay-Jay Johanson, guest: Erik Jansson (SE), Géem

Jay-Jay Johanson
Storytelling. About the melody of whistling, or cigarette smoke flying back in time. Sometimes in four simple lines, and sometimes in precise, tactile, complex images. All of this musically to the extreme: from the catchy couple of notes to the complex melodic lines. Jay-Jay Johanson is "like Chet Baker singing with Portishead" and "like Massive Attack invited Frank Sinatra into the studio". Soft, endlessly silky chanson, to trip-hop beats.
25 years after the release of his first album, the Swedish genius comes to the Hajó stage with new material. On the record Rorschach Test, you can hear all the influences of genres that Jay-Jay has experienced in recent years, but the rich, soundtrack-like genre characteristic of his earlier work remains. The ten-track album covers the entire range of emotions: from the intimate to the violently raw.
Be the first to listen to the new album live, see you at A38 on April 20.
Géem
Géem is a Hungarian indie folk singer who sees the beauty in everyday difficulties through live music. Keyboardist and vocalist of Parvaro, cinematographer and colorist of the Little Moon series.
After several years of playing street music and shouting over the crowd in various pubs, he now shows what kind of music he plays when he's alone at home. In his sound inspired by John Mayer, Matt Corby and Ben Howard, he attempts to combine acoustic elements with solutions known from electronic music, so that his songs can be heard on stage as they will be heard on his upcoming first album.
Concert realized with the support of the LivEurope.
