L.E.J. – Russian Puppets (Poupése Russes) / recorded at the A38 Ship

  • Pop
  • World music, Folk

The French singing trio L.E.J danced the audience of the A38 Boat at an unforgettable concert at the 2019 Budapest Spring Festival. One of the greatest French success stories of recent years: the three glamorous musicians with a lovely and French-elegant remake of summer hits and their own record (Poupées Russes) have been blown up enormously. Beautiful acoustic songs, ringing vocals, fresh chanson-pop: this is the L.E.J., which held its first concert in Hungary on the A38 Boat as part of the Budapest Spring Festival. We can watch this recording in full again on April 14 on the A38 Ship’s YouTube channel.

IN THE AUDIENCE AND AT HOME - 40 YEARS TOGETHER

Let's meet virtually at the 41st Budapest Spring Festival, April 9-18. between! The ten-day, online program series evokes memorable moments of forty years without genre restrictions and presents new productions, faithfully following the all-arts aspirations of previous festivals.

The French singing trio (Lucie, Élisa and Juliette) was formed in 2013, achieving their first success in the summer of 2015, when millions of their readings were viewed and listened to on the World Wide Web. The refined vocals, the witty instrumental effects - Juliette usually plays the cello while singing - and the original transcripts (mashups) of the mixes with good sense, as well as the captivating naturalness of the performance, have been extremely successful. The trio’s first album of original compositions was released in 2018. The album Poupées Russes is littered with great songs, and there is also a clip with a completely original visuals to the song Acrobates.

The A38 Boat joins the festival with its most memorable BTF concerts, the L.E.J. concert will begin on April 14 at 8 p.m. on the A38 Ship YouTube channel.
