Mansur (NL), Kobza Vajk

Sold out
Mansur is a transcendental electronic music project launched by Jason Kohnen (Ex-Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble), joined by Dimitry El-Demerdashi (EX-Phurpa) and Martina Horváth (Thy Catafalque). Mansur's sound is on the boundary of musical fantasy and reality, where traditional arrangements merge with modern electronic elements.
After the debut "Temple" EP, the first album "karma" and the live improvisation "Minotaurus", Mansur returned last year with its fourth album, "Oscuras Flores". Their fifth album, Pentatonic Ruins, is expected in the second half of 2024.
As part of their collaboration, Martina and Jason expanded their work in the DOOM project, called The Answer Lies in the Black Void, where several Mansur songs were transformed into a doom -sounding sound carpet.
Jason Köhnen: Bass / Electronics
Dimitry El-Demerdashi: Oud

Kobza Vajk
Kobza Vajk is a remarkable performer of contemporary oriental and improvisational world music scene in Hungary. At the intersection of the ÚD (Arab Lant) evening, there are medieval and Renaissance melodies along with their own compositions, which are permeated by the freedom of improvisation, the oriental sound of European jazz and the Middle East. Its vision is to lift the genre classification to a higher level of music at the moment. At the concert, Kobza Vajk also draws from the records of Vajk so far, while the first sounds of the coming songs are mostly here. His presentation is a conscious, unique journey to the unknown as a friend.
