Ni (FR)
A French shady riff ministry named NI. were founded in late 2000s as an experimental rock quartet by Anthony BÉARD (guitar), François MIGNOT (guitar), Benoit LECOMTE (bass), and Nicolas BERNOLLIN (drums), that get up our nerve via their aggressive experiments on music material. Their debut EP titled "ni" has been released in 2010 upon their bandcamp page.
BIPØLARIS
BIPØLARIS is a band from Győr, active since 2018, combining progressive/hardcore/metal/trash/folk elements. After the 2019 Kapillarisok EP and Serotonin mezók EP, their first LP was released in 2021 under the title Sagittarius A*, and the next material will be released in the spring of 2023. The studio recordings are 100% self-produced, and the music videos are either self-produced or self-directed, in collaboration with creators such as Mihasznafilm, thus expanding the meaning of the songs.
The lyrics touch on the topic of apostate emigration, toxic (couple) relationships, nightmares and daydreams associated with mental stress that constantly affect our generations. The album Sagittarius A* is partly a turbulent emotional projection surrounding the coming of age, the search for prosperity and happiness, and partly a realization that we know exactly as little about the soul within our bodies as we do about the universe around us, setting a parallel to a self-destructive between the human mind and the nature of a black hole.
