Cameroonian Ricard Bona is the most versatile and sought-after musician of today's jazz and world music scene. Although he is well-known as a bass player (Joe Zawinul, Randy Brecker and George Benson and lots of other stars have enlisted his services), he is also mentioned as one of the best singers and percussionists - just check the album credits of Pat Metheny Group: Speaking of now. However as the leader of his own quintet he's not performing instrument-endorsing session and endless solos. Richard Bona likes to say he is a 'story-teller' who has a responsibility to make this world beautiful. During his shows he tells everything about our world in his own way: one time as a New York jazz virtuoso, other as a tribal praise singer.
