Wukir Suryadi feat. Xhabarabot
is a special set that presents Senyawa in a different version, as a collaboration between the organic and the synthetic. A set that can be performed without the presence of Rully Shabara and/or Wukir Suryadi. Xhabarabot Voice Machines are digital interfaces that generate the synthetic voice of Rully Shabara which can be used to perform improvisation live.
Senyawa X establishes a direct connection between human interaction, the raw materials of nature, and the digital world. It prompts reflection on humanity’s role within nature and our digital extensions; a tangible expression of how we amplify our natural abilities using technology.
Senyawa from Indonesia uses experimental practices by exploring tribal, primitive sounds with industrial music in the most powerful way. The new 2024 album "Vajranala" refers to a collection of Senyawa’s brand new materials that reinterpret the mythology of the land where the Brojonalan Temple (Pawon Temple) stands. By weaving folkloric moods with various shades of modern genre hybrids, Senyawa has been navigating unexplored musical terrain for more than a decade, and returns to Europe and UK in late summer 2024.
PURKÁR
The word "purkár" might be familiar from the Hungarian folk ballad "Szép fejér pakulár." Briefly: three pig "purkár" conspire against the pure-hearted shepherd, who voluntarily and with ease relinquishes his life, except for the arrangement of his corpse with his long and short flute. The two frontmen of Entrópia Architektúra dive into the collective unconscious of Hungarian folk music, guiding us into a world of black brilliance, where the primordial vibrations of throat singing tear us away from the everyday pulse and lead us to a monumental fossil. A place where from all seeds grow.
