Musica Moralia
musica moralia’s (Eda Meggyeshazi) music bears a distinct atmosphere; a creation in the experimental, post-folk sphere. In her own words she plays silent noise, sometimes on the dulcimer, sometimes on the piano. She started composing on a two-stringed guitar and on the piano, then later on moved on to the cello, in the meantime she feels unexplainably drawn towards 80’s analogue syths. She has been in the music scene for more than ten years in Hungary, often in Germany or the Netherlands. In 2012 she self-released her first EP, entitled Tooth and Teeth. In 2016 Normafa Records launched her debut LP with the title hell is Coming Home which is an intimate and highly personal album consisting of song written and performed on the dulcimer, piano, and electric-organ.
At the moment musica moralia is working on her second LP, her live performances are complemented with a band, alongside Éda Meggyesházi (dulcimer, organ, voice), Adam Czitrom (bass), Peter Jakab (guitar, organ) and Márton Király (drums) will contribute. Since 2016 musica moralia is signed with Klinik Label.
Sophia Djebel Rose
Of Franco-Moroccan origin, Sophia Djebel Rose discovered an interest in poetry from an early age. As a child, she claims to become a writer, to express the beauty of the land, the one she keeps leaving, in a permanent exile specific to a childhood shared between two countries. Later she began studying literature and philosophy. But when at the age of 23 she graduates to teach, she decides to leave everything for a nomadic life. Take the risk, be radical, still taste the dust of the road.
Because in the end, what she retains from these studious years is that poetry only has meaning if it is realized in action. From this radical and life-saving choice, a few years of wandering ensued. Sophia travels through Europe, the Maghreb and the Middle East where she performs with the folk duo An Eagle in your Mind in which she sings and plays the Indian harmonium. Without musical training or any experience, it is instinct and faith that for her guide creation. She learns the profession of singer on the job. From turkish and elsewhere's undergrounds clubs Sophia retains a taste for the possible and an unfailing love for the margins.
Raoul Eden
Raoul Eden is an instrumental guitarist in the spirit of John Fahey, Robbie Basho, Jack Rose and Daniel Bachman. His playing is deeply influences by oriental music, Indian râga and classical lyricism but still rooted in dark primitive psychedelic blues. He develops both repetitive and ecstatic structures, constructed and luminous melodies, and quasi-improvised free forms; All bordering on an inner journey beyond reality.
Concert realized with the help of the LivEurope.
