Spiral Drive
Spiral Drive is a psychedelic space rock band with progressive aspects that was founded in 2018 by main songwriter and producer Raphael Neikes (also touring member of Mother’s Cake) in Mannheim, Germany. What started out with the "Space Pirates Sessions," a live performance of improvisation Krautish space rock in the vein of Cosmic Jokers and other 70s influences turned into a bonafide project that incorporated the talents of Andi Haslacher (vocals, keyboards, synthesizer), David Knevels (vocals, bass), Tilman Ruetz (vocals, drums), Michael Nowatzky (drums), Jake Betke (guitar) and Daniel Gräupner (keyboards, synthesizer).
The band has since its inception released a wide range of various psychedelic stylistic approaches and has been a staple at various festivals such as The Vintage Caravan and Mother's Cake. After the release of the single "Infinity," the band received airplay on various radio stations which led to the Vienna based label Stonefree Records offering a record deal.
