National Unity Day: Teddy Queen (RO), The Sharonz

Teddy Queen
In 2016, the Teddy Queen formation was born in Gyergyószentmiklós as the dream of three teenagers. Initially made up of garage rock elements, the band gradually moved straight to the most important concert venues in Hungary during the Transylvanian festivals. With 2 releases released in 2021 and a major released in 2021, the band proves their ability to conjure up tasty rock ‘n roll on stage in addition to punk rock and indie pop rock traits. The band, which has remained unchanged from the beginning, has grown from a school band to a festival band. Their sound is sincere, sometimes youthfully silly, and their songs try to impress both body and soul. Their unique world of sound speaks straight to the heart and invites you to dance.

The Sharonz
The Sharonz band was featured on the Hungarian light music map in June 2017, when their song Eden to the East was released and they gave their debut concert at the Darshan Court in Budapest. After that, their first single was released in the summer of 2018, which was titled You and Me.
After the release of the album, we did not have to wait long for the first major professional recognition, as in the autumn of 2018 they were awarded the Starting Artist Support of the National Cultural Fund's Sound Program. With the help of the program, they made their major album, Illusion, which was released on October 1, 2019. The album’s first single is the song “Wildflower,” whose video clip brought outstanding views to the band.
The band has performed many times in Budapest and in the countryside, both in “loud” and acoustic form. They have performed at well-known Hungarian festivals, such as Fishing on Orfű, the Valley of Arts, the Tiszavirág Festival in Szolnok, as well as at several city events and village days.
In 2020, the band took advantage of the opportunities. Three of their songs have been released, two of which are in constant rotation on Gong Radio in Kecskemét and Beat online radio, and a session video has been shot to make up for the missed concerts.
Their second album, Beautiful Other World, was released in the fall of 2021. The title track of the album and their song The Last Such Song were included in Petőfi Rádió, Beat! and Gong Radio playback
list.
The band made it into the best forty productions of Song 2022 with their song Beautiful Other World. They were invited to Petőfi TV's show I Am You, where they had to process their hit Nemazalány and Szofi - Empty Hearts, which they did with great success.
The band is celebrating their fifth anniversary this year, and they are preparing a lot of surprises for their audience!
