Tegnapután
TEGNAPUTÁN have come up with yet another impossible album concept.
This time, you decide if it's true or not.
After their previous "end of the world" records, they are now deciphering who made the first successful landing on the moon. Was it really the Americans? Perhaps Not the Hungarians a year earlier?
Was Nixon really looking for Hungarian connections during the Cold War?
Did a retired Army Major really tell the truth in a bar in Tapolca? Have TEGNAPUTÁN actually unraveled hidden secrets from the Space Race?
The album "THE SPACE ERASE" and the companion comic book "MOONTRUTH" reveal the true story of the first moon landing across a sprawling Space Rock Opera by Tegnaputan, which everyone aboard the A38 ship will hear for the first time on Hungarian soil on July 28th.** Join us for this historical evening where you can just sit back and enjoy the ride!
**If you pre-order a ticket before July 20th you’ll get a free copy of MOONTRUTH! Comic Book!.
Várhalmi
Várhalmi is a one-man post-pop formation, combining acoustic, beatbox and electronic elements in the songs. After nearly 15 years in a band (Tegnapután, Signals from Hyperion bands), György Várhalmi saw the time to come up with his own songs written for acoustic guitar. The music strives for clarity and comprehensibility, the lyrics are sentimental, socially critical, and thought-provoking at the same time - never precise enough to allow only one interpretation.
The songs are performed live using the live looping technique, which is a kind of revision of the material on the record, and this is another exciting playing field not only on stage, but hopefully beyond. An acoustic concert, but by no means a quiet one!
The production appeared in December with its first music video, First Time, which was followed in February by a 4-song EP, and in May by the single More c. another video clip was made of his song.
Bassstorm
Bass Storm is the solo project of Budapest-based bass player and songwriter Hegedűs László also known as “Laci.” Bass Storm weaves fast runs and soft melodies of looped bass patterns over thick drum and bass and electronic rhythm layers. Funk, jazz and trip hop on four strings.
You can hear many influences in Bass Storm’s playing especially bass virtuosos Victor Wooten and the Polish jazz pioneer Krzysztof Scieranski. Bass Storm will be headlining the art cafe stage at Live Wire Vol. 2 and will take listeners on a long hypnotic journey into the night.
